I tried to get to the are of sexual abuse and incest but was unable to get through. Although I have had trouble in the past with my body image, I feel fairly comfortable with it now, even though it has not changed much over the past 10 years or so. I fi d myself crippled now over incest that happened 35 years ago! I cannot move on with anything and I feel paralyzed with fear and panic. I am searching for something to break me out of this cycle. My mother in law suffers from bulimia. The whole family sees it, she doesn't. She takes laxatives is 5'8 and weighs around 95lbs. She looks terrible. And as of late has been given to fits of rage. Yelling and screaming at people. I was wondering if this i characteristic of someone with an eating disorder. I am overweight and fight daily with it. Therefore I don't think I should be the one to address this issue with her. She is very angry with me right now over something very trivial. The holidays were a catastrophe. She claims to be Christian, yet her torr nts have been VERY unchristian. We are at our wits end as to what to do. Please help

I started the newsletter because I found such a lack of articles in agazines, etc. that dealt with all of the emotions and constant readjustments/changes that accompany a chronic illness. I received this e-mail tonight. "Caroline was admitted to the hospital earlier this week due to a severe eating disorder brought on by problems too complicated and personal to discuss here. She is being fed through an IV drip. In the past day she has come down with a serious type of p eumonia which is being treated with antibiotics. She has no strength. She needs our prayers now more than ever before. Caroline is expected to be in the hospital for at least two/three weeks." This is a beautiful site, not only in appearance but in content. I have not suffered with an eating disorder in my life, tho I was an incest victim for almost 26 years, starting when I was 4. I spent many many years in therapy, trying to heal. Finally, about three years ago, I could say I am, at last, emotionally healthy. It was a long hard struggle for me, and I wish you every success. What you have done here is very brave and very giving because it helps not only you, in discussing hidden things, it also helps many who have similar problems to seek healing, to come out of their closet. Dearest Wen, You are a true Angel in my heart...you touched my spirit first in your words you wrote me in my guestbook and again here at your home on the web. I am a survivor, that has not had the courage to open up a book a friend lent me, "The Courage to Heal." I have hidden myself behind 75 extra pounds in safety that no one will look at me in any sexual way...the other side of anorexia...I was bulimic for a year and just gave up. I wonder if I ever told you part of the reason my sister became a full fledged anorexic-bulimic victim? In my homepage, the story of my sister, Stacy Evr rd I eluded to an incident I did not feel comfortable shareing with the "net". At 17 after completing bootcamp, Stacy experienced "date rape".
