The Purpose Of This Section:

The purpose of this section is to help you come to a better understanding of the truth about Rape, those who survive it, and the ways in which it can dramatically change the lives of those it touches.

In a study by The MS Magazine Campus Project On Sexual Assault, 1985, 42% of the women surveyed told no one about the rape, 5% reported the rape to the police, and only 5% sought help via some type of counseling.

COUNTING THE COSTS: MY PERSONAL LOSSES:

This section includes my own personal account of the night I was raped. If you are a survivor, again, I encourage you to read with caution. Please keep in mind that at this time in my life, I had almost no dating experience. I was young, naive, and trusting. That was then.
